Junior Enterprises World Day 2024
Junior Enterprises World Day 2024
Junior Enterprises World Day 2024 - Event Recap
On November 23rd, 2024, the Junior Enterprise Movement marked a milestone: the 10th anniversary of Junior Enterprises Global, commemorated during a special edition of Junior Enterprises World Day. This year’s theme “The Global Impact of JE” brought together voices from across the continents to reflect on a decade of growth, leadership, and international collaboration. Held virtually to ensure global accessibility, the event featured a diverse panel of speakers representing both alumni leadership and active confederational development. Their contributions highlighted how far the Movement has come and how far it is ready to go.
Voices of the Movement
The event welcomed four distinguished speakers, each offering a unique perspective on the evolution and future of the Junior Enterprise concept:
Beatriz Lopes Fernandes, former Secretary General of JE Global (2022/23), opened the discussion with reflections on institutional continuity and the importance of fostering legacy in a volunteer-run structure.
Leo Largillet, former President of JE Europe (2023/24), provided insight into the European network’s strategic role as a blueprint for continental collaboration and policy advocacy.
Ana Luisa Alves, former Secretary General of JE Global (2023/24), shared personal experiences from a period of intense structural development and encouraged deeper global-local alignment within the Movement.
DIANFON AMIRA SANGARÉ, current President of CNJECI (Côte d'Ivoire, 2024/25), brought a forward-looking perspective from West Africa, underlining the need for inclusive growth and the opportunity to localise the global JE model across new contexts.
Each speaker contributed to a narrative that reinforced JE Global’s founding principles: youth-driven leadership, cross-border solidarity, and the belief that students, when empowered, can be agents of professional and societal transformation.
A Celebration of Connection
More than just a panel discussion, JEWD 2024 served as a moment of global connection. Attendees joined from across time zones, Junior Entrepreneurs, alumni, university allies, and first-time guests alike, to celebrate, learn, and share in the occasion. Discussions covered strategic innovation, the future of skills development, and the expanding role of JEs in national and international economic ecosystems. The event also paid tribute to 10 years of JE Global, honouring the thousands of volunteers who have built, led, and sustained this unique international movement. While the organisation’s scale has grown dramatically, its core remains unchanged: giving students the tools to act, the space to lead, and the opportunity to build something that lasts.
Looking Ahead
Junior Enterprises World Day 2024 was not only a retrospective, it was a launchpad. As JE Global looks ahead to new regions, new confederations, and new forms of collaboration, the message of the day was clear: the future of the Movement is one of confident expansion, guided by shared values and global solidarity.
Thank you to everyone who made this day possible and to everyone shaping the decade to come.
