Female Economic Empowerment

Empowering Women, Shaping the Future

Female Leadership in the Junior Enterprise Movement

The Junior Enterprise Movement is not just a platform for entrepreneurship - it is a platform for equity, inclusion, and transformation. At Junior Enterprises Global, we are proud to stand at the forefront of a growing global movement where women lead boldly, innovate fearlessly, and build the future with conviction. Across our network of 2,100 Junior Enterprises in more than 45 countries, women represent over half of our membership. That means thousands of students each year are not only learning how to lead—but doing so in a space where their voices are heard, their talent recognised, and their ambitions encouraged. At the global level, 80% of the JE Global Executive Board is currently composed of women. These student leaders oversee international strategy, drive global partnerships, and guide the direction of a movement that continues to grow in scale and relevance.

From Côte d'Ivoire to Colombia: Female Power Everywhere

What makes this even more meaningful is the diversity of origin and impact. JE Global’s female leadership comes not only from the traditional business schools of Europe but also from emerging Junior Enterprises in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. In these regions, female Junior Entrepreneurs are pioneering local ecosystems, founding national confederations, and creating opportunities where none previously existed.

From establishing sustainable business models in West Africa to mentoring new generations of entrepreneurs in South America, these women are redefining what youth-led leadership looks like.

The Future is Female - and Shared

We know that inclusion is not a trend. It is a principle. One that must be defended, deepened, and embedded in the core of everything we do. At JE Global, we continue to invest in building a network where female leadership is not an exception - it is the norm.

Whether in Executive roles, on project teams, in technical domains, or through international advocacy, women are shaping the direction of the Junior Enterprise Movement—and we are all the better for it.

To every woman who has contributed to this journey: thank you.

To those yet to come: we’re ready for you.
