Our Movement

See what make us special

Have you ever wondered what a National Confderation is? How it becomes a National Confederation? Why some countries are part of the JE Movement but don’t have a national movement? We will explain everything on membership accession

How the Junior Enterprise Movement is structured

Overview Structures and accession
A staged system that protects quality

The movement is organised into clear tiers, from early student groups to full national representation. Each tier has a distinct purpose and a different responsibility level. Progression is earned, not assumed: moving up requires verification through JE Global audits, and national level recognition requires a Global General Assembly vote.

Our Global Audit System

Maturity Models provide a shared reference point for organisational development across the Junior Enterprise Movement. They describe what effective, sustainable practice looks like at different stages of growth, offering a common language to reflect on structures, routines, and impact. Rather than setting rankings or fixed benchmarks, these models are designed to support self-assessment, learning, and continuous improvement, making progress visible over time and easier to communicate to members, universities, and partners.

International Maturity Model

The International Maturity Model supports individual Junior Enterprises in strengthening their internal operations and long-term viability. It outlines practical markers across areas, enabling teams to assess their current stage and identify realistic next steps. By using a shared model across countries, Junior Enterprises can learn from one another, align with recognised good practice, and develop in a way that remains compatible with academic commitments and local contexts.

Global Confederation Maturity Model

The Global Confederation Maturity Model focuses on National Confederations and their role in supporting and representing Junior Enterprises. It frames what effective confederation work looks like in practice, with an emphasis on stable governance, sound financial routines, volunteer management, communication, partnerships, and strategic continuity. The model helps Confederations build resilient structures that function consistently over time, while making it easier to demonstrate their value to members, universities, and external stakeholders.
