#JamaisSansElles: Championing Gender Equality Across the Junior Enterprise Movement

Female Empowerment Champions

The Junior Enterprise Movement in France has once again demonstrated that youth-led organisations can lead by example when it comes to societal impact. In partnership with #JamaisSansElles, the Confédération Nationale des Junior-Entreprises (CNJE) has taken a powerful step forward in advancing gender equality and inclusive leadership across its national network.

With more than 200 Junior Enterprises and 25,000 students, CNJE is the largest student confederation in France. Now, through the #JamaisSansElles Charter, it has committed to a clearly defined set of principles and actions that aim to embed gender parity into every layer of its work — from event participation and governance structures to recruitment practices and safeguards against harassment.

At the heart of the Charter is a simple but transformative commitment:

No panel, no event, no public representation should take place without the presence of at least one woman when three or more people are involved.

But CNJE’s commitment doesn’t stop at symbolic pledges. The Charter includes a detailed action plan to:

  • Ensure mixed-gender participation in all public events

  • Share resources to eliminate bias in recruitment and promote shared governance

  • Enforce anti-harassment frameworks at all national events

  • Support Junior Enterprises in launching at least one annual initiative to promote gender equality

  • Provide individual Junior Entrepreneurs with the opportunity to endorse the movement and carry its values forward

As a result, the Charter has quickly become a catalyst not only for national transformation, but also for international inspiration. At Junior Enterprises Global, we are proud to highlight this initiative as a best-practice example of how Junior Enterprises can take tangible, structured action toward building a more just, inclusive, and representative society.

We commend CNJE for its leadership — and encourage Junior Enterprises around the world to draw inspiration from the #JamaisSansElles Charter. Together, we can build a movement that not only equips young people for the future but also shapes the values of that future itself.
